Pune to Tuljapur
Tulijapur Temple also popularly called as Tulja Bhavani temple is situated in Tuljapur district of Maharashtra. In the osmanabad distict of Maharashtra, this temple is amongst the Sade tin Shakti Peeths of Maharashtra as Devi Sati’s right arm had fallen here. It is very popular amongst the tourists as well as the locals and you will often find this temple crowded. The architecture of Tulijapur temple is Hemadpanthi style & is simply beautiful to say the least. There are 60-70 steps of Mandir.
A mythological story says ,the Kukur Rakshas, was troubling Devi’s devotee Anubhuthi; so how the goddess rescued her devotee from the demon’s torture and settled on the hill of “Bala Ghat,” resulting in her being known as Bhavani of Tuljapur or Tulja Bhavani.
