Pune to Panhala Fort

Panhala fort had three glorious gates, namely Teen Darwaza, Char Darwaza and Wagh Darwaza. The main structure of the fort included Andhar Bavadi, Ambarkhana, Sajja Kothi , Kalavanticha mahal. Andhar Bavadi is a hidden well; it was the main source of water of the area. It is a three storied well having staircase. There are hidden ways to escape inside this well. Ambarkhana is a collection of granaries. Sajja kohti and Kalavaticha Mahal are buildings built in Bijapur architectural style. Many people visit all around the area and explore the history of Maratha and Adil Shahi reign.
