Pune to Nashik
Nashik is one of the big cities of Maharashtra. It is situated in northwest part of the state. Nashik is also known as Nasik. Marathi is most spoken language here. It is a district headquarters also. The distance from Nasik to Pune is 210 kilometers and Mumbai is 165 Kilometers. The city has historical and mythological background. So every year number of tourist visits the city. Marathi is the main language here, being a tourist attraction you can notice Hindi and English also wide spoken.
Nashik plays host to the famous Kumbh Mela every 12 years. The city is home to plenty of exotic temples and is known in Hindu mythology as the place where Ravana’s sister, Surpanakha, tried to seduce Lord Ram and got her nose cut off by Lakshman in the process. Its religious importance doesn’t end there. It also plays host to the thousands of tourists visiting Shirdi and Trimbakeshwar.
